Build something with barakah

Itabah is a small labour of love. We don't have a big payroll — but we do have meaningful work, and room for sincere people who want to serve the ummah with their craft.

We have no formal open positions right now. We do collaborate with volunteers and contributors — designers, engineers, reciters, translators and scholars. If that’s you, we’d love to hear from you.

How we work

Intention first — everything we build is meant as sadaqah jāriyah, not for ad revenue.
Small and honest — no bureaucracy, no dark patterns, no vanity metrics.
Craft matters — we sweat the details so the app feels calm and trustworthy.
Remote and flexible — we're spread across time zones and languages.

Ways to contribute

Engineering — React Native / Expo, or the Next.js website.
Design — interface, iconography, motion, and the celestial visual language.
Content & scholarship — reviewing translations, tafsir, hadith references and duʿāʾ for accuracy.
Languages — helping localise the app into more languages, beautifully.
Duʿāʾ — the most valuable contribution of all.
