Terms & Conditions
These terms are a simple agreement between you and Itabah for using the app. We've kept them plain and fair — please read them.

1. Acceptance of these terms
By installing, accessing or using Itabah (the “app”), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions and by our Privacy Policy. These terms apply to everyone who uses the app.
2. The app and its purpose
Itabah provides Islamic tools including prayer times, a Qibla compass, the Quran with audio and tafsir, hadith collections, the 99 Names, duʿāʾ, a Hajj & Umrah guide, a Zakat calculator and AI companions. It is provided as a devotional aid to support your worship — not as a substitute for the guidance of a qualified scholar.
3. It is free
Itabah is entirely free. There is no subscription, no premium tier, no trial and no advertising. We do not ask for payment and you should never be asked to pay for the app or its features.
4. Acceptable use
You agree to use Itabah lawfully and respectfully. You agree not to:
- Attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorised access to the app or its services.
- Use the app to break the law or to harm, harass, or deceive others.
- Misuse the AI companions to generate content that is unlawful, hateful, or that misrepresents Islamic teaching.
- Copy, redistribute or resell the app or its content except as permitted by these terms and applicable licences.
5. Religious content & accuracy
We take great care to source Quran, hadith, translations and duʿāʾ from respected references, and to build the AI companions with guardrails that keep them grounded in the Quran and authentic Sunnah. Even so, errors can occur and translations are interpretations. For any matter of ruling (fiqh) or personal religious decision, please consult a qualified scholar. You rely on the content at your own discretion.
6. The AI companions
The AI companions (AI Duʿāʾ, Sakīnah, Dream reflections, Ask-a-Mufti and Tafsir on tap) generate responses automatically. They are a helpful aid, not a mufti, therapist, or medical professional. Do not treat their output as a formal religious verdict or as professional advice. Times of genuine distress deserve a real human — a trusted scholar, doctor or counsellor.
7. Intellectual property
The Itabah name, logo, design, and original software are owned by us and protected by law. Quranic text, hadith, and third-party assets remain the property of their respective sources and are used under the terms of their licences (see our Licenses & acknowledgements).
8. Disclaimer of warranties
Itabah is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that calculated prayer times will be accurate for every location and method. Always allow a sensible margin around prayer times.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Itabah shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of — or inability to use — the app. Because the app is provided free of charge, our total liability to you is limited accordingly.
10. Changes & termination
We may update the app and these terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the date at the top of this page. We may also suspend or discontinue features. You may stop using Itabah at any time by uninstalling it.
